In Philip’s vows to his beautiful bride, one of his promises was to always be there to keep her warm. Well, he was immediately put to the test! Rain or shine, these two made merry, and their wedding was a huge success and a beautiful event. They wedding was a true do-it-yourself event. Philip geniuosly constructed their photobooth, the bridesmaids all made the desserts and carmel apples as guest favors, the flowers were put together by mom’s and aunts, and ruth decorated the tables with personal flare. The ceremony and reception were held at Point 16, in Big Sur and they got ready at the Big Sur Campgrounds and Cabins which were both beautiful backdrops with the fog. Most importantly, all of their families and friends were so excited and supportive of this union. They are both amazing friends who have touched many people’s lives and really seem to have a heart for others. enjoy!

Other than give credit where it is due to the fantastic crew we teamed up with for this shoot, I’m not going to say much, rather let the images speak for them selves. This shoot was inspired by and for Lauren Christensen’s spring line of vintage hair pieces for her fashion behind company Lobomeme. Our favorite florist next door, Corinne of Panacea Floral Event Design put together the sassy bouquets. We shot at my favorite local spot, the ever funky and fresh Santitarium Spa in SLO. Our beautiful models were plucked, polished, and primped by Reeda Gorham from Faces and A La Mode who does amazing lavish lash extensions and airbrush makeup (brides flock to her in the dozens for her makeup that lasts all day, and into the next! ). Up dos and bumpy braids were the whimsical hairstylings of Skylae Johnson also from Faces and A La Mode. The gorgeous lace dress and slip, and the tea length tea dress and sash were shipped in from Maine from Kara Wilbur’s new bridal gown boutique Sweet Love. Laura Robertson of Touch of Style Event was on board as well to help coordinate day of details (including the live doves!) and throw in her always appreciated style tips. The second half of the shoot we caravanned to Montana de Oro to shoot in the eucalyptus grooves… a special thanks to our unbelievably adorable energizer bunny models, Kassie and my good friend Alexa (whose wedding I am shooting in June!!) Check out Mike’s blog as well for his perspective of the day! Without further ado…
