Announcing!! the release of Adorned Designs. proving that my sister in law Chloe is not only beautiful and brainy, but is also multitalented :) For years I have been the benefactress of her jewelry skills at Christmas and birthdays, but now she is making her golden gifts available to all!
Also, today is Chloe’s birthday. She has been a huge part of my life while over the last three years I have lived with her, worked with her, traveled with her, cried with her, laughed with her, and been inspired by her. She is quite the gal and I can’t wait to buy some of her new jewlery designs and sport her fabulous creations. Happy Birthday sister!

February 14th sneak up you? Never fear! Last year one of my besties, Daniel Kiyoi (i feel so privileged I get to call him a friend, I feel more like a fan of his sometimes!) set flight to another one of his brilliant endeavors – digital stationary designs. He cofounded and creates designs for a new website/blog - PAPERPLAYNE- that is perfect for anyone like me (its 11:10 and I just thought up a scheme to have a little Valentine’s Day surprise notes ready for my little sisters to find on their way out to school in the morning). Too late to go to the store, or just want something with a handmade touch but are not handy with design programs or scissors? All you need is a printer and you can buy their nifty designs with instructions for how to put them together into a quick (semi)homemade sussie. For all of you who planed ahead, pat your self on the back and still go visit the site- there fantastic ideas, finds, stationary, and decorations for all occasions.

Here is a bit in their own words about how PaperPlayne works: “{they} discovered the need for digital designs & stationary. They are pioneers in the growing demand for DIY (do it yourself) projects among people who are busy but still desire to be creative. All Paper Playne designs are ready made, but still allow for that special hand-made touch!”

Other than give credit where it is due to the fantastic crew we teamed up with for this shoot, I’m not going to say much, rather let the images speak for them selves. This shoot was inspired by and for Lauren Christensen’s spring line of vintage hair pieces for her fashion behind company Lobomeme. Our favorite florist next door, Corinne of Panacea Floral Event Design put together the sassy bouquets. We shot at my favorite local spot, the ever funky and fresh Santitarium Spa in SLO. Our beautiful models were plucked, polished, and primped by Reeda Gorham from Faces and A La Mode who does amazing lavish lash extensions and airbrush makeup (brides flock to her in the dozens for her makeup that lasts all day, and into the next! ). Up dos and bumpy braids were the whimsical hairstylings of Skylae Johnson also from Faces and A La Mode. The gorgeous lace dress and slip, and the tea length tea dress and sash were shipped in from Maine from Kara Wilbur’s new bridal gown boutique Sweet Love. Laura Robertson of Touch of Style Event was on board as well to help coordinate day of details (including the live doves!) and throw in her always appreciated style tips. The second half of the shoot we caravanned to Montana de Oro to shoot in the eucalyptus grooves… a special thanks to our unbelievably adorable energizer bunny models, Kassie and my good friend Alexa (whose wedding I am shooting in June!!) Check out Mike’s blog as well for his perspective of the day! Without further ado…

Last week Mike and I teamed up with one of his past brides, Lauren Christensen, to coordinate a promo shoot for her spring line of vintage hair pieces for her fabulous company LoBoheme. More to come on the rest of the fantastic professionals that came together for this shoot, and of course many many more pictures (dont know how I am going to narrow them down!), but for now, here is one of my images from the day to pique your interest!
