This week I had the opportunity to visit some very special friends and meet their daughter for the first time, although it feels like I have known her all her life.  Since practically her first days of life her parents have kept us well informed of her days.  Janelle’s pregnancy was a very normal one but after being born Hannah was quickly diagnosed with spinabifida.  As a family, John, Janelle and Hannah have had to confront many challenges, but they have held on to the Lord throughout the whole thing, and left an amazing example of what it means to be a loving parent.

Hannah is the most affectionate, loving, happy, well adjusted child I have every met!  As I walked up to meet her for the first time she blew me a huge kiss to say hello.  Her vocal chords are not currently working so her parents are teaching her sign language to communicate.  It was so adorable because she was basically “chatting” the whole session!  Her hands were almost always in her face in the pictures because she was signing, her version of being social.  She showed me butterflies, shoes, leaves, and so much more!

John and Janelle set the example for loving parents.  They have faced a lot and had to grow and learn a lot.  But I can truthfully say, I really don’t think their is another little girl in the whole world that receives as much love and affection as little Hannah does.  I am sure that is why she is so loving, she has learned from her parents!  They are so efficient in taking care of her and so purposeful in telling her how wonderful she is.  To watch them look at her, you can see in their eyes how much they love her.

I thank the Lord that God chose Hannah for John and Janelle and that He chose Joh and Janelle for Hannah.  You guys are a blessing and an example!  Love you!

Enjoy the pictures….
