For the past week Dan and I have been staying here on the north shore of Oahu on a very rustic yet visionary organic farm with our good friend Anthony and his tribe of what I like to call the “Lost Boys” (you will know what I mean when you see the photos below)! It has been a fun and growing experience for me living very rustically on the farm as there is no electricity, no water, and no bathroom! :) I am really growing to appreciate EVERYTHING that we have at home or as Anthony calls it “Babylon”, from the simple pleasure of looking in a mirror in the morning to being able to take your shoes off inside the house and not getting your feet dirty! I also really learning to love the simple life of working hard, getting your hands dirty (ps: hawaiian red dirt is really intense) then enjoying healthy and beautiful meals made of foods grown in your own soil! I know it sound basic but that is what I love about the beauty here on the farm is all about natural simplicity. Don’t get me wrong though, it is simple but really hard work as we have been working hard here since we came and have been digging, chopping, burning and organizing the farm. Our completed projects so far include: building 2 decks, one bamboo out door covering, clearing huge mounds of California grass and today building a kitchen! :) The best part is that 97% of all out materials on this project are either recycled and or collected!!! Here are some pics so far hope you all enjoy them and can feel the love and beauty of the farm here. Love and miss all of you…. Chloe
