Wedding and Party Mag!!

Today I stepped into the studio and I saw the "Wedding and Party" mag and was so excited to see our company published in it!!!
We have been working hard to bless those in the wedding industry with images that either showcase their product or venue!   It seemingly has paid off and has dually blessed them as they are now using them in their print adds!  It was then really cool to flip through the pages and see many of our MLP images and Graphic design adds in there!
Below are some of my favorite adds that we had a hand in the mag! Enjoy them and look for them in the Magazine! I will give you all a cookie if you do! :)

Right: "LA Perla Del Mar" I shot the small photo on the left :)

This is an add for "Trilliogy" an event venue in Nipomo I photographed the images and Jake designed the add!  Mike did a photo shop wonder with the image on the bottom! :)

Colleen & Tony

This past Sunday I had the privilege to shoot Colleen and Tony's e-shoot.
I was really excited to do this shoot and to get to know them both!  A little note to how I met Colleen, I actually met her through her parents whom I met on a flight from SLO to Oregon for a girls weekend with my best friends from Cal Poly! :)  They were so kind and friendly that I couldn't wait to meet their daughter!  I love how crazy connections happen but I believe everything happens for a reason so I am not really surprised.
We decided to shoot at Avila beach and at the Sycamore Mineral Springs!  It was so beautiful and my amazing assistant Sophie did an awesome job with the sunbounce so thanks Soph! :)
We also had a funny twist to the afternoon as I thought I had locked my keys in the car and so we had to call AAA!  I felt really silly when after they came and unlocked the car I realized they were in my bag all along...wow at least I know I am human right:).  So thanks Colleen and Tony for your patience with me but hey, we got to enjoy a really great ice cream together so it was worth the wait! :)
There was also another fun moment in the shoot when we ran into my friend David Pascolla who is also a photographer in the area and he let us take a picture with his adorable dog (see photo below).
I am really excited for their wedding which will be held at the Dolphin Bay in Shell Beach on 08.02.09!  Stay tuned for that beautiful event! Enjoy a few of the pics below! :)

The Beauty in a Simple Wedding...

So this past Friday my friends Stephan and Allison were married!
Stephan and my husband Dan have become great friends over the years sharing many commonalities as both being French (well sort of) and having a love for the homeless community here in SLO.  We have watched him serve the community and grow in his relationship with God and Allison so it really didn't seem like to much of a shock when he called us on Thursday at 9 pm to tell us that he was getting married in less than 24 hrs.
It was such a beautiful union that was pulled together by the grace and provision of God!
The story goes ... they decided to get married the week before and felt called to be wed the following friday so they did :).  The beautiful event became a group effort which was so refreshing to see.  Everyone felt like they took part in the celebration.  It was all home made from the casual yet stunning beach ceremony at Avilla filled with friends and family, to the tasty pot-luck-style lasagna, and wedding cakes that were made by Allisons son.  Everything even down to the gifting of Stephans suite was a blessing from God and as if it couldn't get any better even the weather was hand picked as it was in the 80's that day in the middle of January!   Truly this day was one to give glory where glory was due!
It was so spectacular to see this couple and their three beautiful children come together to join and become one family unit!  I hope to witness many more happy days with them in future as they are used to serve in all the areas of their new life together!   Enjoy some of the photos below:)

Andrew & Kayla: The beauty of Love in Perfumo Canyon

This past Sunday I had the privledge of photographing my friends Andrew and his beautiful bride to be Kayla! You might recognise them from my previous post below titled Trilogy with Kayla and Andrew. (click the title to go to those photos) They both were such troopers to be my models for a shoot we recently did @ the georgious venue Trilogy in Nipomo. :) We had such a blast doing that shoot and they quickly became professionals at being photographed, so I knew this e-shoot was going to be a blast!
Andrew and Kayla decided that they wanted a beautiful view as thier background and both being from SLO, they wanted to keep it local so we chose to drive up Perfumo Canyon RD to shoot. The views and the couple :) were just breathtaking with all of the budding new winter grass and the clear blue skys made for an ideal setting.
Photographing them was so much fun right from the get go! You could see thier genuine and growing love for eachother as they played and were so silly. I love it when you can see a couples excitment and joy in just being together! This type of real emotion is not somthing that I as a photographer can fake or manipulate. I can prompt them to pose and such but the real beauty is when the couples get lost with eachother and are so absorbed that I essentially can blend in with the background and then am able to capture love naturaly.
I love my job so much so sorry if I am a sap, but I am just continually inspired by the couples I work with to be pasionate about my own marriage. I have been married for 2.5 years now! Wow! It has gone fast and I can say that being with couples who are preparing to be joined together just continually reminds and excites me about the commitments Daniel and I have made to eachother!
Here are just a taste of the shoot, I really wanted to put up more but I didn't want to keep you all wasting to much time online! Release the images!!! :)
