Beauty in Tahoe!! :)

So several weeks ago I got the pleasure to shoot a wedding up in Tahoe with Mike!
It was such a blast as Mike was accompanied with his beautiful wife Rachel and I was accompanied by my handsom husband Daniel!!!  :) Tahoe was so beautiful.  I have never seen such an amazing sunset.   The sky the first evening was electric blue and the second evening was green!  I didn't remember Tahoe to be so breathtaking.  WOW!!!
There is noting like working with a spouse!  Many say that it is crazy when you work together... and they are correct it does get crazy but I would never trade it.  I learn so much about myself when we work together.   I learn much more than normal as I am challenged on a deeper level to develope my strengths and weeknesses when I work with him and I am so greatful for that time of growth!  It really was such a blessing to spend time with my wonderful husband and my amazing friends!
We had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort and Casino.  It was so beautiful and it was so nice to stay in one of the watterfront cabbins.
The wedding which was also held at the hotel was so beautiful and the couple Krista and David were great to get to know!  I hope we all can sometime get together and hit the mountain for some good snow boarding in the near future!

On your marks... get set... Comment! :)

So I realized that I had my Blog settings on so that only registered users could comment... so sad!! I am SO sorry to all you wonderful people out there that have therefore been unable to sleep at night because you were unable to comment on my blog!!! :)
In a nut shell.... all that has been changed and now you can tell me how much you love me (or hate me) for all to see on the web!  :)
I would love any input feedback or just a shout out to let me know you stopped by! Also... very important please feel free to comment and send me the links to your blogs so I can talk about how wonderful you all are!

Charles and Layne

This wedding was held @ Cayucos Pier in November!!! You would have thought they were crazy but it made for some really beautiful shots!  The stormy sky's and gale force winds really through a fun twist in the day for all of us.  I did feel bad for poor Layne as she was almost a popsicle by the time we had finished with her portraits.  This would have been the perfect occasion for a big stylish fur coat!!! :)
This wedding was really fun as I got to work with one of my best buddies Megan who is one of the other associate shooters here at our studio!  She is such a talented photographer/leader even in tough situations and it is always a pleasure to second shoot for her!
I hope you all enjoy some of these pics! :)

Laura and Chris

Over the Thanksgiving holiday I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Laura & Chris!
This union was truly something to be thankful for!  Many of my family and friends seemed to ask why a wedding on Thanksgiving? My response was what a better time to come together in a union of life, and love and to be able to share it with all of your friends and family over a holiday focused on being thankful!!!  This wedding was so beautiful, simple, unique, and sincere.
The event was held over two days on the first day the ceremony was at a public labyrinth's in Avila Valley right across from the Sycamore Mineral Springs where the thanksgiving brunch was held.  It was such a unique ceremony and I loved it as it was all about the couple and their union and not about all of the many stressful things that we tend to get caught up in on a wedding day.  It was also out in nature which makes for such a relaxing and meditative environment!  One of the most relaxing parts was when Chris and Laura (followed by their family) all slowly walked through the Labyrinth and had some time to decompress and get centered on the meaning and importance of the day!   I think that none of us could have asked for more perfect conditions and beautiful scenery that day what a blessing (see the photos below)!!
Following the brunch we went to Chris and Laura's home in Shell beach to do some fun and candid bridal portraits of them on their bikes and with their beautiful dog Nala!  This is always my favorite part of shooting weddings as it is the time I get to hang out with my friends and allow them to just focus on each other
The second day was also beautiful and the reception was held at the beautiful Salisbury Vineyards where Friends and family gathered to enjoy each other and amazing appetizers provided by Chef Rick's Ultimately Fine Foods.
Thanks Chris and Laura for letting me, Dan and Sophie be a part of your beautiful union.  I look forward to hanging out and photographing you and your new family for years to come!!! Enjoy!!!
