Ruth & David: Love in Minnesota

This past weekend I had the privilege to travel to beautiful Minnesota to photograph the wedding of my college buddies Ruth and David!  It was such a beautiful weekend full of love and sincere joy!   The connection between the two was so apparent through all of the weeks events from the emotional and intimate rehearsal dinner to the beautiful out door ceremony!
I was continually impressed by Ruth and her family!  They are so talented as the entire wedding  was home made! Pam (Ruth's mother) made her dress and all the linens for the event.  Mike (Ruth's father) plowed, leveled, and and hand planted the ceremony site in the middle of the field at their church. Ruth and the bridesmaids made all the bouquets and center pieces and David and grooms men designed and made all the brochures out of recycled paper!!
It was truly an amazing day filled with love and the joy of the lord!
The verse that I keep thinking about as I am sorting through the photos is the one in my first post Psalms 13-16.  This verse talks about how we are each knit together from birth uniquely for a purpose and for SOMEONE!  Through all of the speeches I heard and conversations that I had with family members, Ruth's and David's meeting and coming together was not an accident!  They were both born with specific character traits and have been sent down a unique and specific path to grow and form in to the perfect complementing team! I am so excited to see where God takes team AINE in the next few years!
I love you both and thanks for such a special time in Minnesota!
Enjoy a few of the photos of the event below!

Ken & Callie

06.21.08...what a beautiful day!
A few weeks ago, I had the privladge to shoot the wedding of Ken and Callie at the Dana Powers House in Nipomo CA. Despite the crazy 100+ degree weather, all went so well and my assistants and I had such fun time getting to know this couple!
One of my assistants Alex Gubelmann is from Santa Barbara (my home town) and she is such a blessing to work with.  She is just breaking ground in the wedding industry and she has a lot to offer so encourage her by checking our her site! I  have had so much fun working with her and I hope to do so more in the future!
Here are  a few of my favorite shots from that beautiful day I hope you all enjoy them!

My dogs!

Shiloh and Kona so cute! They look like their father.
Sorry, I am a proud parent... :) These are some pics that I shot of my wonderful children that bless me so much and make my life crazy! :)
These pics are in our back yard/open space where the three of us hike every morning. We have such a fun time together and they have a blast cause they can run like crazy and not have to be on the leash!
Kona (the cute tan one), while hiking, forgets all training as he is completely dedicated to catching ground squirrels. (he has successfully killed 3 that I know of)
Shiloh (the fluffy pup) on the other hand is concerned with chasing Kona and consistently coming back to check on me and to get a treat for her good behavior! She got her recall skills thanks to her wonderful clicker training class at Gently Touch Pet Training in AG! The ladies there are so great and I just love all the useful things she has learned there! Check them out by clicking the link above.

Ready...set... Blog!

Hello world!!
I am live and ready (i think) to show you who I am and what I love.  With this blog I am officially now part of the "It 's all about me" generation.  I have been so excited to start my blog but I am honestly a bit nervous as I feel a bit vulnerable exposing myself to the world wide web!
I am also a bit self conscious as I sometimes think why me.  Who cares about the silly parts of my life?  What do I have to say?  Then I realize that God has made me to be exactly how I am, that I am just right and that I should be confident in myself!  As it says in Psalms 139: 13-14
"For you created my innermost being you knit me together in my mothers womb.  I will praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: your works are wonderful I know that full well."
This verse helps me get rid of all second thoughts of self consciousness and lets me know that even though I in my weakness don't have anything to offer, that I could through him have something to offer to others around me!  I also am continually encouraged by these words in Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
So here I go in his strength to start my online journey.   Please join me on this journey by your commenting on my posts and sharing your beautiful lives with me!
So here we go ready... set.... Blog! :)
