Last week I had the joy of photographing the beautiful wedding of Scott and Damaris at the always stunning Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort! It was so beautiful and simple as the event was small and very intimate made of close friends and family. Damaris has such a great sense of flair, style and class which was totally seen through all her personal wedding details and through her selection of hair sculptors from Faces a la Mode and the her makeup artist Jacqueline Cattolico. I just love the way her hair way so simple and styled with the addition of the flower added just enough softness to frame her beautiful face! Great job ladies she looked so stunning (as we all knew she would). The flowers Damaris chose were beautiful English garden roses with white and green accents from Sprigs and Things and they smelled so wonderful and just went so well with her dress and at the wedding alter (see photos below). Scott and Damaris, Dan and I have just had so much fun getting to know you both and we really hope that you two will be able to come in to town for the image viewing so that we can grab dinner and hear about your wonderful Costa Rican “Luna de Miel”. Blessings and enjoy! :)

I just love photographing weddings for friends as it really makes the day for me feel so connected not only to the couple but also to the reality of the commitment the couple is making to each other! I met Collette a few years ago through my house-mate Danielle at the Esteem Surf Shop Bible study we are part of in Pismo Beach. She is such a beautiful and sweet person and I am so glad that I was able to be a part of her and Jesse’s beautiful and very fun wedding which was held jointly at the Sea Crest Resort and the always lovely Sea Canyon Fruit Ranch! It was just the perfect day here on the central coast and as you can see from the photos the water was the perfect back drop making shell beach look like a tropical get away. :) The colors she chose just went so perfectly with the summer day and the vibrant white and yellow bouquets from Shell Beach Floral Design balanced just perfectly with the green grass trees and the stunning blue skies! On top of it all Collette wins my award for being my most bold and courageous Bride of 2010 as when we went to do their sunset shot at the beach she decided that they would not only stand by the ocean but stand IN the ocean dress, suit, and all! Collette and Jesse I am so excited for you both and your new life together. I wish you the best years to come and I hope to see you soon for your image viewing party!
