The Beauty in a Simple Wedding...

So this past Friday my friends Stephan and Allison were married!
Stephan and my husband Dan have become great friends over the years sharing many commonalities as both being French (well sort of) and having a love for the homeless community here in SLO.  We have watched him serve the community and grow in his relationship with God and Allison so it really didn't seem like to much of a shock when he called us on Thursday at 9 pm to tell us that he was getting married in less than 24 hrs.
It was such a beautiful union that was pulled together by the grace and provision of God!
The story goes ... they decided to get married the week before and felt called to be wed the following friday so they did :).  The beautiful event became a group effort which was so refreshing to see.  Everyone felt like they took part in the celebration.  It was all home made from the casual yet stunning beach ceremony at Avilla filled with friends and family, to the tasty pot-luck-style lasagna, and wedding cakes that were made by Allisons son.  Everything even down to the gifting of Stephans suite was a blessing from God and as if it couldn't get any better even the weather was hand picked as it was in the 80's that day in the middle of January!   Truly this day was one to give glory where glory was due!
It was so spectacular to see this couple and their three beautiful children come together to join and become one family unit!  I hope to witness many more happy days with them in future as they are used to serve in all the areas of their new life together!   Enjoy some of the photos below:)

Thanks Allyson!
That is also one of my favorite shots! I thought that some might not like it as it is soft but I love to use motion blur as I think it really shows the mood and the passion of the evening! I am adding your blog to my following! :)
